Jack: That's really what the overall consensus is on the CPQ thread.
That is, they think it was a smart move to announce on Friday, giving the week-end for "deep thought". I'm almost very sure <g>, the big money got out 10-15 days ago on "knowledge", hence the 33% or so decline to current levels. Mason (their CFO) made one big mistake IMO though (his time may be numbered), he stated at the end of last week (before this past week) or the beginning of this week, that the numbers would be okay. Then, 3 days later, he walked out abrubtly from an analyst conference when pinned down on the same subject. I also think Thursdays's further spike down was a sympathy move in conjunction with Intel's "bad news".

I told Paul in that post that I probably would wait till earnings before deciding whether or not to pick up some more. However, you know me <g>, if that price gets "Whacked" to 20 or below, well..... like I said that is very, very tempting.

It'll also be interesting to see the effect it will have on DELL "and" IBM next week also.

Yes, it should be interesting indeed.

Regards,

Joe...
