qdog, now, wait a minute, are you telling me that P&E companies' fortune are tied to the price of crude? (VBG). I must agree with the bulls here, you must have an agenda or, could it be, you are a short? That was in jest, of course. All the little babies are suffering, AKSEF, if we assume that they'll have a billion barrel field only (they already have about 400 MM in proven or so), has a clean barrel of oil behind every one of its 100 MM shares or so, and it (taking into account they have 25% and half of that goes to Sudan), and it is on the verge of breaking 2. If we applied the same standard of reserves applied to AIPN, they should have 10 times as many barrels per share. Take ABACF, they are actually producing and they are lingering. I think that until SEA demand from oil start and pick up again, money in the sector is generally dead money. Of course, there are going to be the occasional hype story to bump up the stock, but these will be met with ferocious selling until crude shows a change in trend, IMHO.

PS, no agenda, and I am not even short.
