Bob expects surprises to the upside, with limited downside risk of several percentage points. He expects Dow 9000 to be eclipsed in 1998.

Re: "Does the lack of a health-restoring pullback imply the dawning of a blowoff top?"

That is what I'm wondering too, but I'm not ready to join the ranks of the nervous nellies. It could just be that our health-restoring pullback has been postponed, and might be a little more severe when it does occur.

The lack of a pullback now could be attracting more potential "nervous nellies" and prolonging the visit of others, many of whom will jump ship at the time of our next health-restoring correction.
