Bob,

I very seldom check out this site, but I think that your speculation may be more than "food for thought". If this happened (and I don't know if it did), it would not be the first time or the last. For some reason, a lot of people think that a shorter's only play is to "short" a stock. Of course this is not true! I am not a shorter myself, but I am familiar with a couple of operators that would have no hesitation about switching to "long" in midstream.

Bob; I don't know if he has closed out his short position totally, but with close to six million shares trading hands last week, chances are he has reduced his RISK substantially. All the WHILE touting KRY as a STRONG SELL OR SHORT SELL. This man is relentless and does not care whether you are SHORT or LONG. He wants your money!!!
