Jim--Sounds like a thread you should start in addition to the 99RS. I am reluctant to give up or change the concept of this one as it does serve some useful purpose for some, including myself. I like to watch them rebound after corrections and have made money on JBIL, SMOD, PWAV to name a few who have responded this way. I am interested in hearing from others also. But I am serious about being interested in your new thread.<push, push> Myron

James and Peter:

I have done something similar like you suggest and the truth is even with that I does not help. First stocks like AOL are high RS and Low EPS low Growth and will keep going on like the energizer bunny. These are the ones that usually get eliminated in a scan that you suggest. If one only looked at the high EPS you will find that some of these never gain high RS. I think Myron is right about keeping this thread as 99 (well may be 95). The best one I have seen are those that have been newly added. They continue on for weeks.

Another suggestion I have is to look for high RS stocks in industries that are moving up. IBD is supposed to publish the industry component book soon, if anybody comes across any info let me know then I could list the industries moving up and we can look at the stocks in them for high RS.

e.g. Airlines have been No1 industry for last week and the stocks have been moving up since Jan. and U has RS 97 and is still moving up. Thus I thought we could look at stocks RS 95 and up. Myron what do you think.

Peter as for stocks moving down a notch. I followed ABF. It kept fluctuating up and down for some time and any short sell would have been useless. I am sure the newsletters must have some methodology, I am unaware. But any suggestions I am willing to try data dredging.
