[Cebit press release] Hi Shlomi and a nice release it is... especially like the part about the adsl demonstration with a "major western European telecom operator that will be announced at the exhibition"... sounds like the groundwork might be being laid for an announcement on the european front... nice that lucent is demonstrating orctf equipment... also first mention of Bosch Telecom that i remember... and that list of full range of DSL solutions has a nice ring to it... Splitterless ADSL, also known as G.Lite, simplifies the customer end installation and wiring process. G.Lite has been strongly promoted recently by PC leaders Microsoft, Intel and Compaq, who aim at accelerating the availability of high speed Internet access via this modified version of ADSL. ''It is expected that G.Lite, or splitterless ADSL, modems will quickly become the de facto modem standard, replacing traditional analog modems,'' remarked Dan Arazi, Executive VP Marketing and Sales. At CeBIT 98, Orckit will be showcasing the Company's expertise in the full range of DSL solutions, including HDSL, ADSL over ISDN, ADSL over POTS, Splitterless ADSL, and VDSL. Orckit's ADSL products are currently deployed in several European and American trials, and are expected to be deployed commercially during this year.
