EVA: RE: <CPQ WILL NOT DROP MORE THAN 10% TOMORROW ACCORDING TO SOME ANALYSTS>
You say 10%? Of what price? Closing or afterhours? If closing
$27.625 -10% =24.95, But we're already @ $24.1/2 in afterhours!
Any more specifics.

This 10% drop has already reflected on Friday's after hour trading. So after Monday's close,
you may see some rise comparing to Friday's closing price of the regular trading session.
If CPQ closed at $26 on Monday, that means a 30% drop because of this uncertainty of Channel stuffing. Now the picture is more clear.

DEC merger on track, which open the door for CPQ to the more profitable enterprise market.Without this merger, it will take more than three years for CPQ to build the customer base which DEC will bring in.

CPQ will continue expand to take the market shares.

More diversifications of CPQ's business strategy.

Will speed up the BTO business model .

Eva,

What makes you think those analysts know anything more than
all those who predicted CPQ would earn .35? I would look at
the first rebound tomorrow and then the retest of the first low.
If it rebounds and then goes below the first low of the day, below
20 should not be ruled out. The selling should start to feed upon
itself.

There were alot of people buying CPQ on Friday, thinking the
worst was over. They're already underwater and may just decide to
do the smart thing, get out, and wait till the dust settles.

CPQ is a fine company and long term will do just fine. In
the short term, below 20 is a real possibility. BTW, DELL is next.
The same analysts who missed CPQ have their heads in the sand
re: DELL. PC sales is a commodity business and it's slowing down
in the near term. I would wait till the end of this year to get back
into these stocks at much lower prices.

Dave

<<CPQ WILL NOT DROP MORE THAN 10% TOMORROW ACCORDING TO
SOME ANALYSTS>>

Actually, it will be better if it has a big drop tomorrow, to
remove all the stocks from the weak hand, they will be shaken out
by a deep drop, by not dropping a lot, the MM makes you believe
that CPQ doesn't have a serious problem, so you get in, and you
know what, you are going to get trapped ...

EVA,

Thanks for your words of sanity and encouragement. One quarter problem and all this doom and gloom and falks going after each other. Have peace all of you. My goodness, because so many shorts are lining up against these baby, the biggies might do the no on them like they are doing with AOL. Remember AOL. If they can inflate that sucker, they wouldn't hesitate on this one. At least, CPQ has a lot of fundamentals in the long term to justify their actions.
