This rhetorical question is for anyone who would like to venture a reply: Someone asked this question at a dinner I attended this weekend. Not one person could come up with a plausible answer. It stuck in my mind, now its probably not very important in the order of the universe and it won't make any difference to anything. But this is the Ask God thread, so I'm asking. Why did God turn Lot's wife into a pillar of salt? Why not, stone, limestone, mud, sand, lard, whatever.. Why salt? gyp
