re: TVPC DVD player...

IMO:
You need an INTC Pentium II 333 ($754.00) minimum top to
almost do SoftDVD. You could save yourself $485 and buy a 233Mhz Pentium II. Then buy a Creative Labs Encore for $319 and pocket the remaining $166.

The 233Mhz Pentium II is $1899
quantex.com

A 333Mhz Pentium II system from Quantex costs $2400 for the same config

$2400
-$1900
-------

- $269 - Creative Encore DVD (http://netbuyer.zdnet.com/smartdna/sc?CS/cgi-bin/nls_ax.dll/0$P_startco.htm$searchly.htm$C0000102)
