hey dude...I edited my post quite a few times....I always do that... there are NUMEROUS things one has to consider.... and most people do it badly....including me.... I know someone right now that i tear my hair out over that could minimize the tax consequences on an estate ..but just doesnt want to think about that....whats wrong with that? just like saying...well I could get out of a stock at 100 but I will just let it ride...and it cost them more than 100k in a matter of a few weeks....whats wrong with that? too many numerous factors that have to be considered.... I think it is crazy to ignore tax consequences of an estate..but that person has to do what they are comforable with I think it is crazy to lose a 100K in a few weeks because they just want to sit on it and ignore the current market conditions...but that person has to do what they are comfortable with... these things arent maximizing a return....but one has to be comfortable with their choices even if it doesnt make them the most money
