Moonray,

Thanks for your input on LSI's potential low as you see it. I guess if it were
a real contest 19/26 would be more fair.

Look at these indexes.......that was some rally on Friday.

Intel story not entirely accurate, PC unit demand strong (So initial suspicions may be right - INTC is lying? but note also inventory pickup - so that would explain CPQ's problem. And this might tie in somewhat with DELL's story that demand is strong - since they have no "inventory" to speak of):

techweb.cmp.com

"Soft demand is not accurate, nor the complete story,"
Aaron Goldberg, executive vice president of Computer
Intelligence. "Looking at the demand, it's easy to see that
customer buying is still up, but inventory is up too, and there
isn't enough demand uptick to offset the huge price declines.
This is what caused the shortfall."

And then again maybe INTC is not lying! A complete summary:

(Unfortunately those comments by industry executives about a definite slowdown in demand, if true, means we can kiss any investment in the semiconductor segment good-bye for the next quarter or 2. Perhaps a bounce post earnings release but it will be trickly sustaining strength in these stocks if there is a real demand slowdown - I still find this whole story so amazing and so very difficult to understand or believe!)
