David S. Good news about CPQ and the Zip. Re: the reliability of the SparQ. This was posted in a jewelers forum that I belong to.

"RE: Back up drives

WE had a discussion a while back regarding Syquest SparQ
vs Iomega Jaz 1 gig drives. I had said that the SparQ was my
choice due to the bang-for-the-buck factor. I bought one, it
didn't work so I exchanged it for another one, it did work
.... for about 3 weeks. It just sh_t the bed ... probably
taking all of my files with it.
It's waranteed for a year. I'll send it to Syquest. They have
been good about servicing their waranteed products. I'll keep
you posted.

This is not a pleasant situation."

When he says " They have been good about servicing their waranteed products" I have to wonder how much service his Syquest products have required. I also enjoyed his remark " This is not a pleasant situation" No doubt. So much for the "bang for the buck" argument. Rocky, take note.
