I agree. Lets hope that this "consortium" at CALSTART also provide
guidance, help, etc., to get the product to market. I haven't read up
on CALSTART, but from what little I know, it seems they offer more than a wearhouse to build hardware. It seems they should also be offering assistance in all aspects of marketing. The big thing today, is for BIG business, like Lockheed Martin to "help" under mentor programs, high tech start ups, make it to a healthy company. It should be a surprise if BAAT was not assisted in many areas, perhaps even getting the "required" help in getting the right people for the right positions. The U.S. has finally learned, from Japan probably, the technique of assisting companies in the "world market". Japan goes so far as to "fund for losses" until the company gets its foot into the market place. Joes, and BAATS demeanor, from what I have read
about the "visit" from some folks at YAHOO, seems to indicate they are not hanging out there by themselves, to succeed or fail. There are a lot of people behind BAAT. It would only seem logical they will also offer a knowledge base to keep it going. Again, lets hope this is the case. Perhaps someone can fill us in on the "CALSTART"
endeavor, and how they assist companies they bring into the fold.

Art,
Sorry to butt in but remember Bill Gates dropped out of school and I think Ted Waite(sp?) (Gateway2000) might of also. I'm sure the guys at Harvard thought Bill had no management potential whatsoever! These guys were dreamers and built empires. I think Joe knows where he's going and how he is going to get there. I really doubt that Lockheed Martin would be out introducing him into deals around the world if he did not deserve their respect. I guess if you don't believe, then there is nothing but time that will convince you.

In the meantime, don't let the FUDer's get to you! (FEAR, UNCERTAINTY, DISTRUST)!!
