Nice to receive an accountants point of view. Anyone who has watched AT&T throughout the years saw the yearly 'one time write-off'. Write offs since 1985 until Armstrong came in consumed all yearly earnings. Regardless of classification, it becomes a debit and must be calculated into EPS. The only advantage to a one time write off here is it tends to minimize management's stupidity.

Thanks for the quick response,

Mike Gordon
