Rod,

PGP1000
PCP1000
PTC1000 Uh huh, and after a few beers you might even mistake the

rod-

if you are not too drunk enough to count, you'll be able to tell the difference-- picojava will be the one requiring the extra thousands of transistors. bob

You can tell the difference in your pocketbook. Tens of thousands
less transistors means less silicon and less dough. Also, for many
applications (heavily I/O based) the psc1000 will perform better
straight up.

That said, picojava, whenever it is finally out, will have more of
the JVM hardwired so it stands to outperform shboom for some
applications.

Does anyone have any benchmarking data, now that Patriot has
done so optimizing of its Java for PSC1000?

Joe
