You must be kidding me - you are a lawyer, right????...my old tax professor could run rings with lots of loopholes around the laws that H&R Block, tax guides, and CNBC reporters talk about...of course he is an advisor to some committee in Washington on the IRS......

You think you should rely on a broker, H&R BLOCK, a bookstore guide or even IRS forms for tax advice????

I guess you arent a tax attorney...

as far as INTC...unfortunately for me it was a big negative...my return on investment ran about the same as yours...but mine was a little less...like 4%...that is a BIG negative for me....

jmac why cant you handle a different opinion than yours....or the logic behind it...can you possibly tell me what holes there are in the logic ( I bet you wish you had the return in your hand this year on INTC that my friend did and wasnt afraid to pay the tax man... I sure wish I had that kind of %return on investment on INTC)..you are an attorney..you should be good at looking at logic other than your own..or are you like the fanatics on the INTC thread and can handle only one version...

As for the tax code, just call your broker or any H&R Block or buy a tax guide at the
local bookstore. It was also widely discussed on CNBC as the tax code changes took
effect. This is no secret

if you depend on tax advise from the above sources you are a fool...but just in case you do..you might want to see if this loophole does in fact exist...

I know I am checking...may be a cumbersome loophole but profitable...

opps..here are the codes for the loophole...SI is a great place to get SPECIFIC information

hi jmac..

NAZ looks very weak.. im calling for "no new positions".. my weekly signal is deteriorating to a sell soon. djia also.. daily sell signals for both indexes were triggered 3/4/98.

naz is sitting on 21 day ema today. tomorrow is crucial. if we go down tomorrow for naz -- we will see 1650..

that's all from here tonight.. going to follow my daily signals for trading i think (with confirmation with weeklies).. taking profits is key in these mkts.. reduce mkt exposure.

quick question:

assuming you have thousand shares of intc, isn't that more than a 10-15% of your capital in one stock?

reason i ask is im following a strict rule of never allocating 10-15% of my capital in one stock..

can you share some thoughts?

(maybe 1000 shares is 10% of your capital) <gggg>

take care... hang tight.

Chris
