Steven - could you refer us directly to some of your sources so we can evaluate the information (related to SiGe)?

I notice that you take an interest in shorting stocks. Are you short ANAD? Why would 11 be such a good place to buy if you think there is something fundamentally wrong with ANAD?

I am trying to figure out how much the market is punishing ANAD for company specific problems, and how much for the supposed weakness in GaAs going forward. I was thinking it had a lot to do with the latter, but then I notice this company (Vitesse) trading at a 15 price to sales ratio also dependent on GaAs. What am i missing?

Vitesse Semiconductor designs, develops, markets and manufactures digital gallium arsenide integrated circuits for telecommunications, data communications and automated test equipment systems providers. For the three months ended 12/97, revenues rose 59% to $34.7 million. Net income rose 73% to $10.4 million. Revenues benefitted from continuing growth in the Communications and ATE markets. Net income reflects lower costs from increased production and higher cash balance.

> The problem is SiGe could possibly replace GaAs.

SiGe may be capable of great things, but it will take several years before SiGe based products (such as power amplifiers) are in production.

I was reviewing this thread and noticed your prediction a few months ago of $11. Maybe coming true - what you say now? RH
