For the bulk user of cartridges, the drive price is almost irrelevant. One of the advantages of dominance in a market segment is that you can reap fat margins with your high-end products while your competitors are in "coming soon" mode (SYQT with Quest, Castlewood with Orb, etc.) and then having recouped your R&D drop the price. It's a technique INTC has used for years.
