Craig:
I did not mention a book, but I did write a piece on accounting chicanery last month, which I will happily provide if you wish. There sure is a bunch of it going on of late. Drop me an Email if of interest.

Best, Earlie

Craig, Howard M. Schilit's " Financial Shenanigans" how to detect gimmicks and fraud in financial reports is an excellent book on the subject. Abe Briloff also has a book I believe. Check out a company called Fine Host (FINE) nasdaq to see the impact of "aggressive" (to put it delicately) accounting the stock peaked at $43 in Oct(soon after raising $100+ million along with flattering analysis)trading was halted around $10; it did not trade for many weeks opened at $3 recently and likely to fall further. BTW Fine had a big six auditor-g-. Mike
