Yes, the battle rages on between our long term desires and our short term view. How easy it would be to just buy and old quality companies.

But, we are all players or we wouldn't be going through the bother of SI.

Actually, you are quite right. It is a stupid post but most would have been called "stupid" for predicting a 40% drop in CPQ in, what, a couple of months?
I have always found it to be a useful exercise to look for a point where I would be very comfortable with a long term investment in market leaders.
