It might interest you to know that when the former Soviets were asked why their Space Shuttle resembled the American model and whether they were being copycats, they replied that no country has the monopoly on the laws of aerodynamics. In other words, the laws of aerodynamics dictate what shape the spacecraft should be in order to achieve optimum function while it is in flight through Earth's atmosphere. Similarly, no country has the monopoly on the laws of economics.
