Alot of manufacturing capacity they gave up was for components. In terms of finished machines capacity, remember that they planned 80k and did 130k of G3's in about 7 weeks last quarter. This implies that they have both the flexibility to crank up volume, and that they easily have capacity for 300k/quarter.

I don't think they would make a public projection about G3 volume without being 99% sure of exceeding.

Phil ... where do you get pre-opening bids? And I agree this is not bad - I thought that "common wisdom" would push AAPL down in sympathy with CPQ. Do you have pre-opening for them?
