Gregor, it is all made crystal clear in the Bible anyway. The glory (presence) absolutely departed from the Temple while the Ark was still around, didn't it? That is my understanding. AHaven't really spent a ton of time, but it seems that under David the presence of the Lord flooded the temple, because indeed David loved God and visa versa. After that, boy, the whole thing went downhill very, very quickly.

The Ark could be in the New Jerusalem forever, as a reminder of the earthly passage. At that time it will be flooded with the Presence, as will the very air itself.

For the Lord to STILL have a special presence surrounding the Ark,
say it is buried in mud or hidden in Etheopia, of course that would seem impossible. It is merely wood and gold.

But the shroud of Turin is old cloth. And the boat obviously the Ark, on top of the mountain in Turkey where the Bible says it is, is only wood.

But how much more important would the original Ark be to us were it to be found. It would utterly and absolutely nuclear bomb the aethiests and humanists out of existance, and they would be revealed as what they are. That is why I think, hope, it is still findable
As well as bringing a modern nation of humanist Jews a massive wake-up call. That would be the importance of it. Not so much to us who so perfectly have the fullness of Jesus Christ without question, but to the Jews. It might do well with aethiests and occultists of all races also.

And it is referred to in Rev. I think that is interesting, and will study it and run it by the Strong's for exact meaning.

My Dear Gregor,
The Ark is not here so you should not have to chose between a person and the Ark. David was angry with God when Uzzah died for steading the Ark but later realized they had carried the Ark in an unworthy manner(1 Chronicles 13:9). One of the purposes of having the OT scriptures is for us to learn from their mistakes and I have been humbled by this and do not want to carelessly approach God in an unworthy manner. My conscience is cleared by the blood of Yeshua and I am confident of my salvation but still have tremendous reverance for the Holiness of God. Each person has to find the boundaries of this awe and respect in their personal walk with Him.
No one has implied this could be a solution for our eternal reward, the reward I am seeking is just knowing Him everything else is a bonus. Revelations 15:2-5 gives more insite into the Tabernacle of the Testimony (or Ark of the Covenant) in future reference.
And I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and over the number of his name. They held harps given them by God and sang the song of MOSES the servant of God, and the song of the LAMB:
Great and Marvelous are your deeds, Lord Almighty,
Just and True are your ways, King of the Ages,
Who will NOT FEAR YOU, O Lord, and bring Glory to your Name?
For you alone are Holy. All Nations will come and worship before
you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.
After this I looked and in HEAVEN the Temple, that is the TABERNACLE OF THE TESTIMONY was opened. Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues.
This is how I feel and what I was trying to share the respect and awe of Moses, THE LAMB, and the Almighty God, all together at the witness of the Testimony (Ark of the Covenant) in Exodus 25 you will see God uses both terms in reference to this special creation of His. I don't understand it but respect Him and all the things He has done. According to these verses in Revelations I see that the plagues are coming from this piece of wood that Testifies against the sin of mankind. May the Lord bless you, for you do have a humble and contrite heart and I have not intended to offend you in any way, Nancy

Gregor, I just feel like there is something there for us to see, but I don't know what it is. But I think it is balance.

The pendulum swinging always reaches a point at which it must come back to the middle.

I can't see it either. I see it, but I don't.

Maybe the Holy Spirit will shed light on it one day soon, and give one of us here some true Godly insight to these scriptures..

The Lord bless you richly.
