This stock continues to amaze me. As you pointed out there are all the reasons for this to be languishing not appreciating. Where do you think it will stop? It just keeps going and going and...........

Actually, one could read the NYT article many ways (I got the hardcopy, which may vary somewhat from the one you posted). One of the things I noticed was that AMZN appears to have a much greater breadth of sales than most traditional bookstores. If they really develop that type of market well, it could turn into a very nice niche, which retail-mass marketers might prefer not to pursue. Whether that type of market is ever going to be worth the kind of valuations being paid for the stock is still a question.

Very clear though, that competition is coming, and that the road ahead will not be easy for them.
