The wireless telecom market, all segments, bought $2B of antennas from US manufacturers in 1997. The figure is growing strongly. Analysts differ in their forecasts, but a doubling every four years seems to be a general expectation.

Our goal is to proliferate the CTHA across as many broad and deep market segments as possible in the next 24 months. With a little luck, we hope to establish the CTHA as the standard for mobile wireless communications because of its unique performance properties.

Mobile wireless communications is one of the largest segments of the wireless telecom market, and includes cellular telephony, GPS, paging, two-way paging, and SMR. In the next few years, some of the LEO satellite systems will begin to add significant volumes. The design cycle times for these products ranges from about 6 to 24 months, depending on the product and the customer. We have begun the process of getting the CTHA into the product development teams' hands for evaluation and hopefully we will see it adopted into final designs a little later this year.

Aircraft and watercraft are good niche markets and the CTHA has shown itself to be a superior performer in both. We think we have the potential to dominate these markets.

We are looking both for niches and broad market segments. Niches are nice because it is possible to dominate them. Broad market segments give us the chance to increase our numbers by orders of magnitude. We need to succeed at both.

Best regards,
