TA is the historical realities of the markets that tend to repeat themselves because the price action is the result of the net group psychology of the investors in a particular issue. This type of TA has been found to exist even in the ancient Orient for thousands of years. Human nature remains the same. After x% of loss the human psyche tends to throw in the towel and absorb the loss and after x% of gain the human animal tends to take profits. These forces are clearly shown in charts, not by plugging the data into some 49 dollar program (or a 1500 dollar one either) but learning to recognize the broader patterns and relationships that tend to repeat - regardless of the issue - and often without the aid of fundamentals.
