Intelligence is the highest form of order in the Universe. Faith is the lowest. Were faith alone the realm of Mankind, all would still be shivering in caves and praying to the lights in the sky.

If you think that intelligence is the highest form of order in the universe, how do you think the universe came into existence? Did it just happen, or did something with intelligence create it?

All forms of religion are vestiges of Man's primitive superstitions and a testament to a lack of knowledge about the principles of the universe. God is a creation of Man -- not the other way around. Man's highest purpose is to create, to evolve, to ultimately become the God so many desperately wish to believe in.

What are the principles of the universe? Do you think we will ever be able to comprehend them? What do we create? Can we create something out of nothing? That goes against the laws of the universe that I learned in my physics classes. How long will the evolution process take for us to come into control of the universe? What will we be able to do when we become God?

You suffer philosophical and moral myopia. You cannot see that the destiny of our race is not this tiny planet stuck in the backwash of the galaxy, but the stars. Truly only the meek, the visionless, the cowardly will eventually inherit the earth -- the rest will push outwards leaving their cradle and childhood behind.

What is the destiny of an individual person? To work for forty years and try to help the human race reach a far off goal? To enjoy life, for the short number of years we have here before we die? What is the purpose to our existence?

TTYL .. interesting thread.

Eric

I can see this very clearly, and would have been a fait accompli, but for man's own arrogance to place himself above the laws of the universe.

Your accusational posts are quite biographical -g-
