Bruce: I agree with you: some stocks are starting to show the inverted head and shoulder pattern and some other stocks show a double bottoms. The bottoms are in for gold stocks and gold (IMHO).
For these to get going, small investors will have to start buying gold jewellery and gold coins, methinks, because CBs and other big players could flood the market and prevent a rise in gold price... for a while.
You need many buyers: if 1 billion Chinese bought each one American eagle, this would be about 28000 tons of gold which is more than 10 years of gold production... We don't need hoarding by a few: we need to have instead a herd of humans wanting to just buy one gold coin each... that is all what is needed...
Good luck all.
Gaston

I looked at the charts you mentioned. Of the three, PDG and ABX had "kind of" a head and shoulders reverse, but ALTA doesn't seem to have any similarities, just a strong upward trend. However, the cross overs of the moving averages might suggest a correction might ensue. What say you?
