Hi Frederick,

I recall seeing an article about venture capitalists in silicone valley avoiding any kind of financing of start ups that might be in competition with Microsoft. I agree with your perception that the main danger of Microsoft is the way it is able to stop the advancement of new technology. I doubt I'd be able to find the reference in the middle of 20K posts, but it might be a good avenue of research for what you're doing.

FWIW I picked up some more NKQQB. Nice double top inter-day that seems to be part of the over all pattern of NOVL running out of legs. Reuters seems to be back to spreading gloom and doom. Hard saying if any of it is true, but that's what they were doing back in Nov/Dec. I don't expect March will be a good month for techs.

Regards,

Don

"but this market will continue to go up until guys like Paul

throw in the towel and disappear"

This would be an insult if I could figure out what you meant. Its not guys like me that are buying into this market. Or do you mean that the MM's will hold the stocks up just for me until I cover my short positions? Or are you just looking to say something nasty without coming right out and saying it?

=============

Some advice. Try to stick to one or two ideas in your posts Fred and I think we could figure out what you are trying to say. With three or more its easy to get the points mixed up. Also do not put an olive branch into a post filled with insults. They don't mix.

I can't wait for your thesis on monopoly MSFT. Do you intend to hand it to Bill in a social setting or present it in testimony to Congress?

You know Fred, you get better with age <g>. Age, being the more and more I really digest what you're saying (that's a compliment BTW).

Good response.
