Henry, So Ligand IR is taking the fifth on the Lilly compound, eh? So perhaps I am out of line by implying they had in fact, chosen a compound. But I've already opened my mouth and said it. So I might as well pursue it a bit. The deadline for choosing a compound is past, and I know they have chosen a compound. They just haven't chosen when to announce what it is. They had the choice between a compound and a small payment, right? If they choose a small payment, that will show in the financials in the next few months, so an announcement would be out by then at latest. In any case, I can say only that I have good reasons for believing it's a SERM. Assuming it's not a big market SERM, are there some smaller markets that are likely? Or is that too open-ended to speculate? Sometimes I wonder if you put me in the clueless and misleading category, and thus choose not to respond. Sorry to be cryptic, but all I can say is that while I am weak on the science, I have sources concerning the company that you do not, but have to use them carefully. It is a difficult position. Perhaps all I can do is wait and say "I told you so," if I am right, so that I have some credibility, but I'd rather not be so childish. I do not have a position in Ligand, but my Mom is a long term holder on my recommendation. In the mean time, I am considering taking a position myself. Thus I look for info here, and ask things like the above. Right or wrong, your day to day predictions (of the "wait till Monday" variety) often generate the kind of controversy that I and others hate to wade through. Other than that I find your posts and your links very informative. Keep 'em up. Regards, Tuck
