According to Bloomberg----"the actual number (of shares of Qwest stock issued to LCI stockholders) will be determined by taking the average price of Qwest for the 15 days before the close of the transaction, expected in the third quarter. Qwest will pay no less than 1.0625 shares if the average price is more than $39.53 and no less than 1.5583 shares if it's less than $26.95."

Thus, if fortune smiles and Qwest stock continues to rise through the conversion period, say to $50, LCI stockholders would get $53.125 worth of Qwest stock.
