nealm, i haven't been approved to buy puts or calls yet. i can do covered writes. the sox is getting killed over the last 6 days. altr hung very tough today. just my luck. just about all semis were down and the one i have shorted goes up. in this market i don;t feel confident about anything. i think altr has gotten ahead of itself at this point and is more likely to pull back than move up. why do you feel altr is going to break up? interested in your point of view as it is obviously different from mine. as far as boing left behind, there are just too many negatives in tech land with intc,cpq,vlsi,mot,amd all giving warnings. my thinking is some of the biggest techies are haveing a tough qtr then it should be the same for all tech companies. js
