Bank still is the first choice

------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is reported that many Shanghainese still choose the bank deposit though the price of goods keeps in a low inflation level.
About 24% deposit account customers think their income is increased, 3% lower than last survey. Meanwhile, 23% people feel their income is decreased, 7% lower than last survey. That shows most of people feel current goods price acceptable. 65% people feel the price is stable, which is 6% higher than last survey.
The biggest different result of this survey is that bank deposit has become the first choice. About 47% people choose bank to save their money, which is 18% higher than last survey. On the contrary, about 28% people choose to invest in stocks, which is 14% lower than last survey.

Ha!! I would not be surprised that my house keeper (a retired high school teacher from China) has more money in the bank than you (in U.S. dollar term). 20% of the Chinese population live in the coastal area and the saving rate is 50% of the income.
