Thread,

Have any of you ever written a covered call, had it go deep in the money, and then somehow it didn't get exercised?

For my very, very first covered call ever, I wrote a March 70 call against my Yahoo stock. This was the trading day before Clinton's comments about no new Internet taxes. As many of you know, YHOO topped $92 today.

I am doing my best not to throw small objects through windows these days, and would like a ray of hope.

Alternatively, is there an efficient way to get out of this situation, or at least do something creative? I'm not in love with my YHOO shares, although I believe the runup will continue.

I might just wait for the shares to be called away and buy a few YHOO LEAPS.
