The issue is not whether MSFT innovates or not. The issue is that MSFT if it cannot innovate tends to crush and dominate through other means. I too actually like some of the more advanced stuff that MSFT has. The problem is that MSFT wants to be MSFT and dominate their space and take other spaces if they can. It's pretty common knowledge that they will do this using strong arm tactics and coercion if need be. That's what makes them the "evil" empire.

[Another good thing about MSFT is that they appear to realize that it's important to leverage the existing base of skills that developers have. Thus they gradually build on existing architectures. Come to think of it, sometimes if the foundation is not very good, all the extra building does not do much good!]

Yes and Java is cool and DHTML is good!

Hi,
A bit off topic, but...

Has anyone used the WebHub Tools from HREF? I am evaluating
them and would appreciate comments. The tools purport to give
you many advantages in Web development that Delphi 3 doesn't
have; it, however, works with Delphi.

Thanks,

m

PS - looking at the client list of Visigenic technology, i can
see why Del and the gang were so keen on the merger. What a
golden list. Get them using the Borland tools.... Great move.
