It would seem that WDC and SEG have greater problems than QNTM, or am I missing something? Are the others closer to bottom?

I think that's it Mark. QNTM was way up off its lows much more then the others. Everybody will set new lows in my estimation.

Perhaps they sell more drives to CPQ, or a higher percentage of their drives, especially to the desktop. While CPQ is getting rid of inventory, they aren't going to be ordering more drives. That spells trouble, Trouble with a capital T that rhymes with D that stands for Drives Deficit and whatever else you want to add. Maybe Demoralizing, Depressing, Dumb Dimwit for holding through this mess.

At least my calls will expire worthless. But my kingdom for a handful of puts!

thestreet.com Herb Greenberg said that Bob Gabele who tracks insider sales, told him that Quantum insiders sold something like 500,000 shares plus in most recent quarter. Last year, when stock price was much higher, they sold only 100,000+ shares.

so they must be thinking that the long term outlook is worse.

maybe thats whys quantum is doing worse.

i heard that DLT segment is still strong...from a friend that works as a DLT VAR for big corp systems. But its been a while since our last talk.
