Gregg,

Although I am very bullish on Informix, I have
to believe that investorgal makes a good case. I think there is
a chance that Informix's last quarter may look prematurely rosy.
I am bracing myself for Informix to "come up short" this quarter. I don't think it will happen, and I certainly don't hope for it to happen, but I am bracing for it. Hold tight and make sure you can
stay on board this ship until it makes it into port. The database
seas are rough and choppy.

I am cautiously optimistic in the short term, and strongly bullish
long term. Don't expect short term miracles with this company. If it
happens, break out the champagne and dance in the streets!

(I also expect Yahoo to drop from its lofty highs, but I don't have
any idea when that will occur either :--))

Gregg,

Get off it. Again just give me some facts. What do you expect IFMX to do this quarter? Why?

Fact:I never said I was a broker. Is that the only definition you know?
Fact: You never gave any details on your statements. Why?
Fact: I never said IFMX wouldn't beat the street estimate. Have you even looked at what the different estimates are?
Fact: As I told you, I am long informix. Did you miss that?
Fact: I was at these meetings on both coasts because it is worth my time. What's your stake?
Fact: You don't give anything more substantial than "I know the industry."
WHat is your area or expertise technically and business wise?
Fact: I am having fun watching you blow your top when it's so obvious there is nothing behind your statements except alot of bluster and some PR.

So why is my opinion wrong? Which opinion do you disagree with? I welcome an intelligent debate with facts behind them.

Have fun. I will continue to state my opinion whether you like it or not. :-)

By the way, Good luck. We are both long and I'm looking for 12 by year's end,

Gregg, for a moment there I thought your posts were improving like some others. These unwarranted attacks on Investorgal shows that you haven't changed.

You definitely have a lot to learn about how the software business works. Every time someone tries to provide you with an explanation you attack them rather than thank them for trying to help. Most of the persons posting to this forum have vast experience in their respective fields. This diversity in backgrounds and views is what makes this forum one of the best on SI.

Because this response isn't what you want to hear I am sure that you'll flame me with your response.

Dave....

Needless to say, I am new to silicon investor. I have been actively investing for some time now and came across this stock in the spotlight section. I came to this thread to find out about it and see if I wanted to invest my money. After reading the ridiculous banter from Greg who obviously has to much time on his hands, I have decided that this thread is unproductive from a time standpoint. Both of you seem educated such as I. I feel that with all the great choices for investments out there, you are only hurting yourselves by wasting the time of those who have lives with long-winded "Cochranesque" posts. Do not take any of this personally. I never reached the great news of the day because I grew tired of your elongated Doctorates. The air's in the balloon but it must be cold.

Please, allow criticism and maybe we all will flourish and get out of the mail room!!

Sincerely,

Randall Stockdale
