The new appointments emphasize the increasing opportunities available in the online community. David Gwozdz, one of the founding members of DoubleClick's strategic sales team, moved from Atlanta to head the Silicon Valley office as Regional VP. Prior to DoubleClick Gwozdz held the position of District Sales Manager for CMP Publications in Atlanta where he established the Southeast region as top revenue producer. Five new members have been appointed to the DoubleClick West Coast strategic sales team. Those appointments include: Sandy Wetzel as DoubleClick's newest District Sales Manager. In her post, Wetzel primarily will be handling the Microsoft account. She previously worked at Upside Media as Regional Sales Manager. Tony Nethercutt who was hired from GeoCities and spent several years working in the traditional advertising arena. At DoubleClick as District Sales Manager he will be responsible for building on his relationships with many high-profile consumer brands. John Davidson who was recently hired from Sports Illustrated for Kids. As a District Sales Manager at DoubleClick, Davidson will focus his efforts on the consumer market. Lisa Keller, also District Sales Manager, comes to DoubleClick from CMP Media where her focus was on the high tech advertising industry. Keller will continue to work with a high tech client base. Melanie Clarkson, who has been with DoubleClick for the past year has been promoted to a District Sales Manager position. In addition to expanding the West Coast advertising sales effort, DoubleClick has also hired Mike Herman as Business Development Associate for DART, DoubleClick's proprietary ad management serving and tracking solution. Among the clients using DART are NBC Interactive, CBS, The Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition, Intuit and RealNetworks. Herman was most recently hired from Net Gravity, a DART competitor.
