Mohan aka MMV, CSCO had already priced in earnings prior to earnings release a month ago. In a nutshell, CSCO traditionally does not disappoint and usually meets or slightly exceeds and anyone who owns/trades CSCO knows this. Chambers has always provided careful analyst guidance, this time stating while business in parts of Asia was uncertain, business with China was fine. He knows very well the China is the key to growth. But he also states that because of the Asian situation, CSCO could disappoint in future quarters. So the market must decide, whether to be forward looking and price in the infrastucture growth or to wait until the uncertainty is resolved. Infrastucture growth cannot not surge ahead until the Asia situation is mediated. However my sense is that the generals will be window dressed for 3rd Q fund performance unless they prewarn.

Will fundies prefer to park their money in CSCO where a mighty effort is required to make new highs ... or allocate some funds to washed out techs where trading flux could readily move the stock 10 percent. Fear and greed, risk and reward, the market shall mediate these elements in the coming weeks. CSCO could readily rise or tank, I look for it to do both within the next month.

Overall the market should be making an intermediate top soon.
