How else am I supposed to interpret the fact that 7% of the retail boxes sold in the 1st quarter 1997 were NON-Intel based and 36% were non-Intel based in Jan. 1998.
All I've heard is that AMD couldn't make enough chips to supply demand...so whose chips am I supposed to believe are in Compaqs inventory? AMDs or Intels? Who's margins are going down? Intels?
Is the whole market skewing to the Sub-$1000 market? Yes, that fits too...Has Intel's stock headed south since it hit 96 recently? That fits too...
