James,

Dolts: There are the common garden-variety dolts, irritating, though generally harmless. Then there are dolts of another, more toxic species. They and their elk [sic] run in packs. Sometimes, in their cleverness and eagerness to gloat over their perceived successes in their mean-spirited games (trolling), they outwit themselves.

Your final point is well taken and holds quite true for the dolts in category #1. With respect to the dolts (trolls) who fall into category #2, they generally will find another sandbox in another playground.

BTW, do you ever get over to Usenet? Do you subscribe to any Internet listservs?
