I once had a pet maggot named "DUH". I let Duh outside one fine sunny morning to play with his maggot friends. But just about lunch time, a flock of crows swooped down upon Duh and his friends. I think I saw a bat along with them. The crows had a hearty repast and I no longer had Duh. I guess I must have learned my lesson with that emotional trauma. Never since have I become personal enough with a maggot to call him by name. Cowardly? Whatever. :=)
