Re -- Sure, it's retail but they will figure it will filter into the business sector.

Analysts are a different story, and its better to ignore their recomendations. They are mostly wrong anyway otherwise they would be rich like Soros or something.

As for non-intel boxes filtering into business. The dynamics of business vs retail are different. And being able to sell in the retail market with an active salesman pushing systems where he/she gets maximum commissions, does not mean the same applies to business.

Also AMD/Cyrix do not have the capability to produce in sufficient volumes for a single vendor to completely use AMD/Cyrix, besides that would be alieniating one customer which they may have to depend on for future products (merced) and is unlikely.

Non-intel systems may filter into business, but in small qtys and for niche applications (such as replacement for terminals/NC's -- where Intel is also involved)
