I saw this article referenced by SteveG on the Aware forum. I did not see it elsewhere yet: Finally! Yes, originally CopperGold was an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASCI). I knew as soon as TI announced the C6X that the CopperGold ASIC was dead. Numerous delays only confirmed my suspicions that MOT was working on a programable DSP. MOT over the years has looked like Bullwinkle cae.wisc.edu "Hey, Rocky! Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat!" Rocky: "But that trick never works!"
