>>> Expect a Reg T call if you do this too many times with the same name, the stupid computer thinks that you've exceeded your buying power. This requires a call to your rep to straighten out. It does not matter if you actually exceed your BP, just that the total buys, when added together exceed it. Assume 50k in BP, buy 1000 WXYZ at 20, sell at 21, buy 1000 again at 20 1/2, sell at 21 1/4, buy 1000 again at 21, sell at 20 1/2, and you will generate a Reg T call. I'm really fed up with getting 3 Reg T calls a week, and will be funding my Datek account. <<<

Are you talking about cash or margin account. I was told by waterhouse if my margin power is $10k, i could only buy up to $10k a day using margin. Anything more i'll have to come up with the cash. Am i wrong here?

Thanks for the experiences, Barb and DRL. I'm a bit disgusted--I've had a 200 share limit order at 26 1/4 on CBXC in since Friday AM, and a 3000 share order printed this morning at 26 1/2--I didn't get filled. I realize one can't always get a optimal fill, but under these circumstances, I'd expect one.

For now, I'm with you, Barb--more $ in the Datek account.

Best,

Dave
