You keep talking about CPQ's record.. Paul of Intel thread fame wrote an article on Intel, details a bit of Compaq's history as to straying away. I just did a comparison chart on INTC/CPQ stock performance for 1997 to present, looks like CPQ did MUCH better over that timeframe No SHxT !, Intel is in the same place it was 9 months ago, you don't need to go charting to figure that one out. Now go chart 1996. Since you say you own CPQ, would you prefer they pay more for their chips, or less?? If I want to pay less, I buy a smaller inferior engine( i.e. AMD), no thanks, I want a Cadillac (Intel). And as for owning CPQ, i would prefer they make a GOOD pc and right now I am shopping for one and you know what, I won't buy a Compaq, its Dell or Gateway 2K. jim
