Good work Rob and good sleuthing. You get the Poirot award. I am waiting for the info to determine if there is scienter or not involved. But I would be happy with a sell out. Maybe Pino is gone to a meeting.

Rob, you did a truly excellent job here!

However, it definitely seems to be a mixed bag. "Major" problem suggests to my that the inventory shortfall will indeed wipe out earnings for the year, to the extent not covered by insurance.
I think his answer on law enforcement was interesting and a bit surprising in view of the apparent size of the loss. But maybe the insurance company is controlling things and law enforcement has not been called in - yet. Clearly his answer on bankers, trade creditors
and customers is positive and what is most important going forward. (If he had waffled on that one it would be a clear sell.)

My hunch is that what happened is going to be rather shocking and cause selling when announced (depending on the price action meanwhile). A more positive outlook going forward and not severely impaired value of the company going forward may be temporarily overlooked - creating a buying opportunity.

If I were you I would pursue my suggestion to contact Creditman to see if he could get the trade creditor scuttlebutt in MA on ACT. I think that is the only other thing you could do at this time. (Also anyone on this thread with an account with one of the firms which had been recommending the company might be able to get his broker to contact the firm's analyst for his assessment - or it might be available in an update available on the broker's computer.)

Rich's point about a sellout is well taken. All they would have to do
is put a one-liner in the eventual announcement to the effect that
everything is being considered in dealing with this situation, including sale of the company, and that would mitigate any damage from the announcement.

Again, a great job. Thanks.

Rob,
excellent job. I reiterate my question: should we sell short from now?
I remember a good article from Smart Money which mentioned short selling to protect yourself from unexpected losses in unsure situations.
ciao Alfredo
