well it certainly has a real nice chart.
my investment partner did some research on them (lor) and apparently bill gates, personally, has a 33% stake in it along with mccall of mci fame, i believe, and boeing ......hard to bet against that group.
well, i just might buy some lor but orbi is functioning right now and their profit stream hasn't yet come on.
long orbi, maybe become long on lor.
i love the space stocks, never forget that gates etal could buy orbi at some future time....just my opinion but with all the consolidation going on and gates' method of buying the competition, this could be something down the road to consider.
i just wish i had bot more at 27.
rats.
good investing......lets launch 'em!

LOR didnot take away anything from ORBI though?Orbital had their run and LOR turn on a good report. They do not mention ORBI in their competitors and me being new to SAT/COM would like to know if its head to head with Loral or parallel where both can grow?

from LOR 10K
Satellite
"Competition in the commercial satellite industry is intense. Among SS/L's significant competitors are Hughes, Lockheed Martin, Matra Marconi and TRW, many of whom have significantly greater financial, manufacturing, marketing and technical resources than those of SS/L."

Would somebody give me a pecking order-in this...mainly where you feel ORBI stands? Thanks

Maybe some good news from this conference will spark it.And (all long time ORBI bulls close your eyes)maybe ORBI will pullback a little more so us newbies can have a bigger piece of the pie(IMHO).
