Mark,

I spoke with a marketing guy from NCD today and believe I figured out how NCD came up with the code name Thumper. This guy referred to "wibbits" which I understood to be the pronunciation of WBTs. Or, you might pronounce it "wabbit". Rabbit...Thumper...get it? I'm sure I've heard stories of pet rabbits named Thumper just like dogs are named Spot.

(It might help if you've owned a rabbit as a kid. They thump the ground with their hind legs when they sense danger). Boy. I just know D. Smith is going to pick that one up and run with it.

Jim

One more thing. Has anybody figured out why this message board is tucked away in the Miscellaneous Technology section. Does this in some way mean that we and the technology we follow are deviant? Are our ideas blasphemous? Do we exhibit some sort of vile aberrant behaviour that is shunned by the mainstream? Are we perhaps considered a threat to the safety of all women and children who visit the Computers section and are therefore unfit to have a presence there?

Just wondering. =)
