I received this e-mail from the NASA web-page today.
I only list it for everyones information.
I am not implying in any way that "Rdox" is
associated with this.

Abstract
REDOX is an economical energy storage system which promises major
reductions in the cost of storing electrical energy. The system is based upon
the conversion of chemical energy into electrical energy. 75 percent of the
energy used to charge the system
is returned. It is flexible and the energy may be stored for long periods. It
was developed by Lewis, who transferred the technology to SOHIO for further
development and possible commercialization. Redox could eliminate the use of
high quality generator levels and
would be particularly valuable to utilities which generate power from coal or
nuclear energy.

Commercial Application:
REDOX is an energy storage system developed by NASA and intended as an
alternative to the lead acid battery. It promises major reductions in the cost
of storing electrical energy, long-term reliability, and minimum environmental
impact. The system is based on the conversion of chemical energy into
electrical energy and appears to have a useful life of 25 to 30 years. On a
large scale, the system could be used by utility companies to store energy
economically during off-peak hours.
